Priyanka Chopra in Shahid Kapoor’s ca

They may try their best to dodge the paparazzi but can’t keep the truth hidden for long. So much of newsprint has been consumed by speculations on the relationship between Priyanka Chopra and her Kaminey co-star Shahid Kapoor, but the picture wasn’t clear, until now, that is. On her flight to Brazil to shoot her ‘reality’ show Khatron Ke Khiladi, Priyanka was seen stepping out of Shahid Kapoor’s black and amply spacious Range Rover at the international airport in Mumbai on Monday night.
Obviously, the duo did not want the press to get a whiff of the fact that Shahid had come to drop Priyanka off.

Have you talked with Your Child Today?

A major component of our familial ties is communication. In fact, without communication there would be little connection between people. Living together in the same household with limited, or even hostile, interaction would not fit the criteria for maintaining the bonds of kinship. To develop meaningful relationships within our families we need to know how to communicate effectively and sincerely with each other. A large part of this involves skills and principles that can be learned through practice and sincere effort. The following is a guide to strengthen these ties that bind.

Cleverly Designed Laptop stand to save your back

Laptop computers are appropriately named, as they do sit nicely on your lap. If you’ve ever tried using one down there, however, you’ll know that it’s not the most ergonomic set-up imaginable – you have to bend your head down, keep your knees up, and feel your thighs getting toasty warm from the computer-generated heat that is evidently not able to disperse into the air. In order to position laptops in other ways, various companies have offered laptop stands to put on your desk, devices for turning your lap itself into a desk-like computer workspace, gizmos that allow you to swivel your laptop over from the passenger seat of your car, or that let you use it beside your bed.

Sony targets FPS gamers with new headset

Sony knows that gamers take their gaming sessions seriously – after all, they have had their fair share of experience with feedback from PS3 owners. There is no quite better way to play First Person Shooters (FPS) games than using the traditional keyboard and mouse setup, but that is just the beginning. Advances in gaming audio technology has made listening to audio cues extremely important, as that would help you determine the location of your adversary before you fire off that money shot.

iPod Lamp offers sound and light

Most lamps are just that, offering light at the touch or press of a switch. Well, the iPod Lamp from Hammacher works differently, and as you can tell by its name, it will be able to play nice with an iPod thanks to its built-in iPod dock complete with speakers. This will definitely help you save whatever little space you have left in your cramped apartment (that’s the case these days what with a global population explosion). You can dock either an iPod or iPhone, where the two 10-watt speakers won’t bring the house down, but they ought to be good enough to keep a small room filled with music.

Nikon’s new Coolpix with built-in projector

There are more megapixels, high definition movie capabilities and an even brighter projector, as well as a body redesign and new color options.

This 15.6″ machine will target folks who want nothing but the best in entertainment and productivity, of course, when they call it the “best” in their books, do take that with a pinch of salt since you won’t be able to eke out high end audio performance for example, despite it sounding above average when compared to other different notebooks.

Julia Roberts is at her best in Eat Pray Love

Elizabeth Gilbert’s bestselling travel diary Eat Pray Love, which had the excellent good fortune to be named an Oprah pick, has been adapted for film by Ryan Murphy, the man behind TV’s breakout hit Glee! What are threads that bind them?  Easy!  An uncompromised feel good attitude, mainstream appeal, bright colors, sensuality, joie de vivre, and music! They’re crowd pleasers and easily accessible. There’s nothing wrong with that!
And for anyone who hasn’t read the book, Murphy‘s film starring Julia Roberts, works as a standalone, as there was no sense of something missing.

Confirming what millions of Twi-hards have known for years, Robert Pattinson has been named the world's sexiest man for the second year in a row. Cameron Diaz tops riskiest celeb searches

San Francisco: If you're looking for Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts or Jessica Biel online, look out! The movie stars top the latest list of the most dangerous celebrities to search for online, according to new research by computer-security software maker McAfee Inc. It's far from an Oscar, but landing atop McAfee's annual list carries a distinction all its own: It means that criminals believe those celebs are the perfect lures to sucker people into visiting malicious websites.

Sanyo releases Flip-like HD dual camera

Sanyo's new pocket camera clearly takes aim at the Flip, while at the same time liberally borrowing inspiration from its success. The design moves away from previous Xacti gun-shaped designs and adopts a more Flip-like form factor, even including the signature pop-out USB connector from which Flip takes it's name. Assuming that Sanyo didn't infringe on any patents here, we're excited that the company sees the value and marketability of simple cameras with few buttons. That was the common appeal of the Flip, and that same simplicity might help Sanyo take a bite out of the pocket-camera/camcorder market.

How Stallone reunites stars for action fest

Getting together some of the biggest stars of the 1980s for an all-out action movie would be a hard task for anyone - except, perhaps, Sylvester Stallone. The 64-year-old called in a career's-worth of favours to get the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke and Dolph Lundgren to share screen time with him for his latest movie, The Expendables. Stallone not only stars in, but also wrote and directed the film - about a group of mercenaries hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its dictator.

Skip the Movie and Read the Book

With creativity on the backburner in today’s multi-millionaire entertainment industry, it is not infrequent to find blockbuster movies that are visual translations of bestseller books. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Shawshank Redemption, Romeo and Juliet and, more recently, the anxiously awaited release of Twilight, based on a bestselling novel by Stephen Meyer, are all in the profitable line of making a movie without having to go through the creative pains of actually writing it.

As popular as it is today to make a face at the mere mention of reading, much of our generation does not realize the immense benefits that come with it.

I faced a long period of rejection: Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan is a Bollywood a heroine who looks sexy in a saree. Her recent movie was Ishqiya in which she plays as Krishna Verma. 30 years old, femme fatale, small-town girl, mysterious woman and forgotten widow; Krishna is a bundle of contradictions. She was seen as a woman madly in love, as an object of desire, as a vision of purity and engaging herself in a lustful bout with another man. Q: Why do we find actor Vidya Balan launching a book on cars?

Help is a well-made horror film

Rajeev Manoj Virani’s Help is a well-made horror film that succeeds in giving you the requisite chills and thrills expected out of a good horror film but the problem lies with the unoriginality of the plot that seems heavily inspired from Thai film Alone. Vic (Bobby Deol) is a filmmaker in a relationship with Pia (Mugdha). There relationship is going through turmoil because of rumours linking Vic with his actress Sussane (Linda Arsenio).

The couple has to immediately fly to Mauritius, after they get a call about Pia’s dad (Salim Fatehi) having a heart attack.

Fake 'dislike' button spreads across Facebook

Washington: Social networking website Facebook, which offers its subscribers only a "like" button for anyone's updates, is now faced with a fake "dislike" button, which is spreading like a virus across the site. The fake dislike button is followed with a link that takes people to a fake application. Instead of installing a dislike button, the application uses the person's network to continue spreading the fake programme.
Graham Cluley of the British security firm Sophos wrote in a blog that the fake dislike buttons "are going viral" on Facebook.

Global Observer completes first flight

After AeroVironment’s recent announcement that its Global Observer unmanned aircraft system (UAS) had successfully completed a series of Wing Load tests the team apparently wasted no time getting the craft in the air for its maiden flight. On August 5 Global Observer 1001 took off from Edwards Air Force Base (EAFB) in California and climbed to an altitude of 4,000 feet where it performed a series of maneuvers before landing successfully one hour later.
The aircraft was operated remotely from the portable Launch and Recovery Element (LRE) by AeroVironment’s chief test pilot, Andy Thurling, a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and former USAF flight test pilot.

Why Google Wave's demise is good news for Facebook

Google abandoned "Wave," its much-hyped social collaboration tool. Wave was perhaps the prototypical Google product: Technically advanced, incredibly ambitious and near-impossible to use. Its demise is the canary in the coal mine for Google's social networking plans: Facebook is destined to build the Web's next wave, as Google continues to tread water. Wave was a testament to Google's technical prowess: A real-time communication platform that combined elements of instant messaging, e-mail and collaboration software. The only problem: With its many dials and switches, mastering Wave was the web equivalent of programming your VCR.

Kids Listen to our Every Deed

How many times have you told your kids to change their clothes/brush their teeth/do their homework/or anything else for that matter? There is really no right answer because there is really no limit to the number of times we have to ask our kids to do something. For most of us, this is a normal part of our daily lives. We ask, and ask, and ask, and if we are lucky, our kids cooperate after the fourth request or after a loud but otherwise harmless scolding. We complain that our kids never listen to us; we ask other moms how they get their kids to behave, eat their vegetables, or go to sleep.

Tocky Alarm Clock bounces away

You might remember Clocky, an alarm clock that rolls away and hides the moment it goes off which leaves you to run off and chase it down before you can shut it down. Well apparently this is Clocky’s tech saavy brother. Instead of rolling away, this hops off of your nightstand and rolls away. Just like Clocky you’ll be stuck chasing it down in order to make the alarm stop. This clock even has a built-in microphone so that you can record your own sounds to wake up with. It means college students can still wake up to the sound of their mother’s voice.

Sonam starts enjoying her stardom

This is definitely my most productive year. I completely enjoy overworking,” says Sonam Kapoor. The actor, who has already had two releases this year — I Hate Luv Storys and Aisha, is working on three more movies and has just signed a brand endorsement deal with a cola brand. Kapoor is currently working on Pankaj Kapur’s Mausam, Anees Bazmee’s Thank You and Abbas-Mustan’s unnamed project that is a remake of The Italian Job.
“There is a lot happening. After Aisha released and the promotional drive ended, I wanted to take a vacation. Rhea had even finalised Paris, but look,

Man confronts Mother Nature at Bondi Beach

We've all splashed water over our face in a bid to wake up in the morning. But one Australian man has taken it to the extreme. Standing perilously close to the edge of a rock face, the fearless individual stood head-on with Mother Nature as she threw giant whitewater waves over Ben Buckler headland North Bondi Beach in Sydney yesterday. Brave but foolish, he was soaked by the explosion of water.
The man had climbed over protective bars several feet further back from the edge in his pursuit of the ultimate wake-up call and was fortunate to survive as the area was engulfed by water.

Rehman does not replicate Waka Waka

Monday could have been a positive day for the Organising Committee, as a press conference held by them promised the unveiling of the Commonwealth Games anthem composed by Oscar winner A R Rahman. But the management suddenly decided against releasing the song, though Rahman was flown in especially for the event. On Sunday night, the Group of Ministers (GoM) had approved Rahman’s theme song after a three-hour emergency meeting convened by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Rahman had initially asked for Rs 150 million to compose the song, but settled for Rs 50 million after the management bargained with him.

Peepli Live is wake-up call for the conscience

Peepli Live produced by Aamir Khan is a work of damning ramifications. Debutante director Anusha Rizvi's writing skills are never made evident in the vast canvas of rural characters who cling to the poverty line hoping that some government-sponsored miracle would rescue them from the dread and drudgery of daily extinction. Though there are echoes of films as far-ranging as Mehboob Khan's Mother India (remember Nargis's husband Raj Kumar vanishing after a farming accident?) to Mazhar Kamran's Mohandas Anusha Rizvi's treatise on the common man is one helluva original take on the sins of squalor.

Most awesome action cast in The Expendables

For a film that trades fantastical B-movie fun for deadly seriousness, The Expendables needs a reality check.  It thinks that the actors have on-screen chemistry.  They don’t.  It thinks that the script has plenty of witty banter.  It doesn’t.  It thinks that there’s thought-provoking pathos in the story.  There isn’t.  At best, The Expendables is misguided and at worst, it’s an over-confident mess that fumbles completely except for a few action beats. Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and his crew of mercenaries (played by Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture, and Terry Crews) are known as “The Expendables”.
